"Situated in the cobbled streets of Harrogate’s historic Montpellier Quarter, Drum and Monkey has been a firm favourite with locals and seafood lovers for over 30 years. Our continued commitment to fresh, local produce and sustainable seafood is apparent in our regionally inspired dishes. Our focus is seafood prepared with expertise but without pretention."
"The popular Drum and Monkey in Harrogate has been serving the finest quality seafood for over 40 years. You can enjoy oysters, mussels, scallops and lobster among the selection of seafood on offer."
"Located on King’s Road in the heart of Harrogate, Gianni’s Brio opposite the Harrogate Convention Centre has been serving up authentic, Italian cuisine for all the family since 1983. It’s a popular favourite in the town, that’s for sure, and its family-friendly ethos ensures a warm welcome. Now run by his son Marco, Gianni can still be found almost every day lending a hand, along with his daughter Elena and wife Franca on busy nights."
"The cheerful Wensleydale Heifer is an attractive 17th-century inn, situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and surrounded by pretty countryside. There are 13 rooms, nine with traditional décor in the original building and four themed rooms in a newer annexe across the courtyard. The latter may not be to everyone’s taste but they are nothing if not original: Chocolate Heaven has a cherub-heavy mural above the bath, the James Herriot comes with a box set of All Creatures Great and Small, and Night At the Movies, has black walls, a vaulted beamed ceiling and silver furniture."
"Situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the country, in the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, is probably the finest fish restaurant in the Dales, The Wensleydale Heifer. Located in West Witton, around a 20 minute drive through some spectacular scenery from Sun Hill, The Heifer is one of our favourite places to eat. Boasting a menu full of luxury classics such as steak and lobster, through to their famous Fish and Chips, posh sandwiches and light bite tapas for lunch - there’s something for everyone whether they prefer fine dining or a casual meal."
"The cheerful Wensleydale Heifer is an attractive 17th-century inn, situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and surrounded by pretty countryside. It has 13 rooms to supplement its first-class restaurant, which is frequently recommended in the Michelin Guide."
"09/05/2021: We found this little chippy during a lockdown walk. We only live a few miles away but had never come across it. We now don’t go anywhere else."
"Under the same management as Jorvik and housed in an atmospheric old church, Dig gives you the chance to be an 'archaeological detective', unearthing the secrets of York's distant past as well as learning..."
"Lots of things to do, including learning about the history of the building, which was once a prison – hear what crimes some of its inmates had committed. The best part (in our opinion) is the recreated Victorian Street, Kirkgate – a cobbled street with traditional shops to visit. VISIT THEIR WEBSITE >>"
"One of the city’s most impressive landmarks, Leeds Minster was built in 1841 on an ancient, holy Christian site. It’s a beautiful, Grade I listed building, designed by Robert Chantrell, with huge stained glass windows by a range of high profile artists, including Schwanfelder, David Evans, Thomas Wilmshirst and most recently Sally Scott. You’ll also find The Leeds Cross inside – it dates back to the 10th century, making it one of the earliest objects in the city’s history."
"Our Minster is beautiful inside and out, with beautiful architecture and stained-glass windows. Not only does this grade I listed building look amazing, it sounds it too, being home to the renowned Minster Choir. The church even had their own rugby league team once upon a time!"
