"09/06/2021: We always come here when we want the proper Italian experience.The restaurant is always full and has a great buzzy atmosphere,With people laughing and enjoying themselves, it is a happy place.The menu is varied and has a great selection of dishes to choose from.We have a few starters which we all share and may be a pizza , which is made with homemade dough and cooked in a wood burning pizza oven so it has that wonderful smoky taste.Then we have steaks , we have a few and share them with some potatoes which are simply amazing and some sauces.The steaks are chargrilled which is the best way to cook steak in my opinion and they have such a great taste and are so tender and always cooked to perfection.For dessert again we have a selection which we all help ourselves to the Ricotta cheese cake is fantastic and so is the Tiramisu.The service is relaxed and friendly as you would expect from a small Italian restaurant.What makes the place different from other Italian restaurants is that it has a soul and of course Paolo the man himself.He makes the place with his wonderful personality and welcoming attitude , nothing is too much trouble for him.So if you want a great authentic Italian experience with fantastic food, cooked well and great service, this is the place to go. 09/06/2021: The owner Paolo is a rear character. "14/02/2021: 1hr and 40 minutes later the food arrived and had to warm it up in the microwave plus x1 curry sauce and X2 chips where missing from the order.Tried blaming me but I knew exactly what I had ordered because I had it written down in front of me!. Very unhelpful and said they could send the missing food out but it would be in 1 hours time.....what a joke!. Very disappointed customer."

We also had to wait 10 minutes for them (fast food?).The donner was the saltiest thing I have ever tasted; I only had one fork full and could not continue.The chicken kebab was dried out.Both were served on a weird pancake sort of thing.The garlic sauce was like a thick sour cream.The only thing that stopped me taking them back was the fact that the woman serving was abrupt and scary!"

"Lucia is tucked away in the cute little corner of Swinegate and reminds me somewhat of al fresco dining when you’re on holiday. While you naturally don’t have to sit outside, I would definitely recommend doing so in the summer when there’s an abundance of blankets, outdoor heaters and such a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy. I’d recommend: pork belly and chorizo sausage or the pollo pizza."
