"Catch is a modern fish restaurant with a menu of tasty classics and creative twists. Of course, you can get all your battered favourites to takeaway – their whopping king-sized haddock fillet is a must-try for all fish & chip fiends – but they also do a medley of more refined seafood dishes in the restaurant. Expect plates of crisp tempura tiger prawns, aromatic monkfish curries and smoky seafood grills."

"The York Assembly Rooms is a listed historical building and one of the most influential pieces of architecture of the early 18th century. Perhaps the earliest example of neoclassical design in Europe, the Rooms emerged as part of the city’s new wave in design replacing the dark Gothic style. The building was masterminded by Richard Boyle, Lord Burlington, as an establishment of leisure for the upper class after a group of York’s gentry approached him with a request to create a place to accommodate dance parties, card games and other social activities."
"What makes it special in York though is the building it is in – The Grand Assembly Rooms. Think the ballroom from Beauty and the Beast and you get the general idea. From the website: ‘Book a table in The Grand Assembly Rooms, built almost 300 years ago in the Palladian style of architecture, and you’ll be eating in a stunning setting beneath chandeliers and surrounded by Corinthian columns."
"Modern Italian restaurant chain serving long, stone-baked pizzas and antipasto on wooden boards and much more. You can eat-in or take-away. Ask Italian, Grand Assembly Rooms, Blake Street, YorkT: 01904637254"
"The rooftop terrace isn’t always open, but when it is, you’re in for a treat, as it’s a wonderful little spot. They offer amazing beers, wines, and cocktails for you to enjoy. The tucked-away sun trap takes you a world away from the busy city centre, so it’s a great spot for a chilled drink."
"Roland’s roof terrace is so well hidden, you’d never even know it was there. Follow the staircase from the courtyard and you’ll find yourself in a petite sun trap with room for just 30 people. Long benches and high stools line the walls with a few garden tables thrown in for good measure."
"This is one of the more traditional all you can eat buffets in Leeds, with an absolutely massive selection of food from every corner of the globe. It’s not fine dining by any stretch, but if you’re after a cheap and cheerful dinner with oodles of choice, you’re definitely onto something. Prowl around their buffet and you’ll find yourself moving from traditional British Sunday roasts to Indian curries, Italian pizza and Chinese chicken wings, all in one go."
"We are located in bustling retail centre 'The Light' at Leeds City Centre only few minutes walk from the Arena. "Two of the best things in life are brunch and Cuban food… so what could be better than combining the two?. Whilst Revolución de Cuba is a chain restaurant and I don’t usually like to include them in local lists, it is still a local business adding value to the town, so ‘yayy Revs de Cuba‘!. Plus, it’s not too pricey, does good food in a cool setting, and does boozy brunch – winner!"
"2 floors of dancing, cocktails and music that will make you want to move. The cocktail menu in here is really really good!. Get yourself in here for a good old boogey."
