"Kirkstall Abbey, Abbey Road, Leeds, LS5 3EH - Visit now. Founded in 1152, Kirkstall Abbey on the bank of the River Aire is one of the most complete examples of a medieval Cistercian monastery in Britain. Its dramatic ruins have inspired artists such as JMW Turner over the centuries, and provided the perfect setting for Yorkshire’s Gothic Film Festival in 2013."

"Not just for swimmers, Armley Leisure Centre is home to a whole host of fitness activities, with football and gymnastics among them – but it’s the pools that we’re particularly interested in today. They’ve got three – a five-lane 25-metre pool for those of you looking to get your laps in, a smaller 10-metre learner pool for those of you who are just starting out and a hydrotherapy pool for those of you who require physiotherapy. It’s £5.20 for an adult swim, £2.80 for a child swim and kids under 5 go free."
"Rarely does one come across a church with so much personality. The 15th century building, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the town, has a marvellous architectural design. The Goodramgatearea comprises of some of York’s oldest structures."
