"When dining with children, a lunch that feels more like a party treat might be enough to tempt even the most reticent of young foodies. Cue Crepe Affaire, where everything on offer is, you guessed it, crepe-based. There are the sweet treats, like salted caramel, Oreo, peanut butter and Nutella, but don’t miss out on the savouries."
"They’re famous for their traditional Italian gelato, which comes in a range of weird and wonderful flavours. You can try the likes of Banana del Brasile and Dulce de Leche, all served up in epic style – their Conos promise a chocolate cone with your choice of flavours presented in the shape of a gelato flower. If you’re not feeling the ice cream, they also do waffles, macarons and crepes."
"Let’s face it, it is always a good time for ice cream, but the arrival of spring is just the perfect excuse. Located in Victoria Gate, Amorino is definitely one of the best places for ice cream in Leeds. Chocolate sorbet, blueberry cheesecake, tiramisu … A nice variety of flavours coming in rose-shaped cones."
"28/02/2021: I bought a triple chocolate brownie, which I can affirm as a local is the best brownie you'll get in any of Pickering's many teashops. And the roasted tomato soup (complete with basil oil and garlic crutons) was not only punching way above the averaage for takeaway soup - they'd also put real effort into not packaging it all up in a bunch of plastic, was all wood and cardboard.I'd have been happy to see them open whatever food they had come up with, but this was really, really good, high end and delicious, sold by jolly staff who were obviously taking considerable pride in their stuff."
"They serve up traditional Italian gelato, and have loads of flavours. From mango to pistachio, Snickers to cookies and cream, you can mix and match up to four scoops. Want something a little bit more extravagant?"
"Yes, I’m aware it’s a chain but Byron burgers are too elite not to mention. Consistency is key from chains and I can confirm that ordering Byron to your uni house does just that. There is the odd occasion where the chips aren’t awfully crispy upon arrival, but just pop them back in the oven and complain to Deliveroo and you’ve got yourself a fiver."
"‘The best burger on the high street’ & other superlatives are regularly tossed in the direction of Byron Hamburgers, the chain that eve ..." Read our full review"
"Souvlaki sources all their ingredients from Greece, ensuring you really get that authentic Mediterranean flavour. Each grilled wrap is packed with delicious salads, meat, chips and crumbling feta and is a solid alternative to the standard lunchtime sandwich fare. Silver Street, YO1 8RY (souvlakiyork)"
"Trinity Kitchen is in the Trinity Leeds shopping and leisure complex. It has a rotation of new street food vans every eight weeks, as well as permanent eateries such as Pho and the Chicago Rib Shack. Trinity Kitchen’s latest street food line-up includes Punjabi inspired Jah Jyot, the Mediterranean favourite Eat Like A Greek and Angus McVenison, for those that crave a taste of Scotland."
"Trinity Kitchen is a street food wonderland in the heart of Leeds. Alongside a slew of permanent eateries, they bring in six new street food vendors every six weeks. In recent times, we’ve seen the likes of Doh Hut, Let’s Go Wild Boar and The Little Red Truck to name but a few."
"Sunny Bank Mills was once a key part of the city’s industrial past, but since being restored by the Gaunt family, it’s been turned into a multi-purpose creative space with a 3,000-square-foot art gallery at its heart. It’s one of the best galleries in Leeds to find exhibitions by local artists, as it gives them a platform to show their work, from Mel Davies’ colourful landscapes to Kate Kenney’s oil paintings of Yorkshire. It’s also home to Spinning Mill Studios, where local artists and makers create and display their work."
"Situated in the heart of York, York Fine Arts has been family owned and operated for 42 years. We specialise in traditional and contemporary fine art, and feature over 300 British artists. We also offer custom framing, art restoration and valuation services."
"If you like your coffee served in a hip hangout with cool decor and even cooler fellow drinkers, then Outlaw’s is sure to be your favourite spot in Leeds. Firmly welcoming freelancers, this is a welcoming and friendly space that encourages visitors to make themselves comfortable on the sofas and plug in their laptops. Own-blend espresso (roasted by North Star) and their very own pale ale (brewed by Northern Monk) accompany a menu based around healthy breakfasts, sandwiches, salads and tasty cheese platters."
