"‘Savoury, sweet and everything in between’ profess Crepe Affaire, and they’re not wrong. Based on the second floor of Trinity Leeds, this is a French restaurant centred around the honest pancake, whether you want it with lemon and sugar, Grand Marnier cognac, chicken and tarragon, feta and hummus, or even an all day breakfast. They also serve up smothered waffles, and oodles of ice cream if that’s your bag."
"At Crepe Affaire, it’s all about traditional French pancakes. Expect a host of classic combinations, both sweet and savoury, like cinnamon or hunter’s chicken. But it’s their more creative options that demand your attention."
"Let’s face it, it is always a good time for ice cream, but the arrival of spring is just the perfect excuse. Located in Victoria Gate, Amorino is definitely one of the best places for ice cream in Leeds. Chocolate sorbet, blueberry cheesecake, tiramisu … A nice variety of flavours coming in rose-shaped cones."
"Last but not least is something a bit different, and a must-try for all of you with a sweet tooth. My Cookie Dough is a cookie dough stand in Trinity Shopping Centre, but they also do takeaway and delivery. Whilst they offer boxes for you to bake yourself, we’d recommend the fresh cookie dough boxes which come warm (or cold, should you choose an ice cream)."
"Marigold Café and Boating is situated in Knaresborough on the banks of the River Nidd, one of Yorkshire’s most picturesque settings. Marigold in Knaresborough enjoys an enviable riverside location at the bottom of the Nidd Gorge. And here’s a thought: how often is it the case that, after travelling far and wide, we realise that true happiness is to be found in our own backyard?"
"Gelato Passion have 20 different flavours of ice cream to choose from at their Beeston store and they’re all made fresh each day. Their most popular ones are bubblegum, cookies & cream, Oreo and Ferrero Rocher, or you can try something a little more unusual like Nutella or Milky Bar. Want a treat to go alongside your ice cream?"
"Rodley Nature Reserve is a nature reserve dedicated to bringing wetland wildlife back in the area of Leeds. With regular sightings of different birds like owls, kingfishers, kestrels, lapwings and many others, you would certainly enjoy traversing the different paths that they have and be closer to nature through the amazing sights that they offer. A hidden gem, this wetland reserve can be considered a haven that offers a relaxing tour and walks around the area."
"Four miles west of the city centre, on the banks of the River Aire is this wetland nature reserve. With a lagoon, scrubland, wet grassland and reed beds it's a great place to stroll and spot waterfowl, birds of prey and other nature. Access it via Moss Bridge Road, Rodley, Leeds LS13 1HP."
"The Yorkshire Wrap Company will give you one of their giant Yorkshire puddings and stuff it with goodies, before you chow down on it like a burrito. You can have roast beef, red cabbage, onion and horseradish or roast pork, sage and onion stuffing with apple & mustard sauce. If you get there early doors, they’ve even got a full English one for you to try."
"You can gorge on the ultimate Yorkshire pudding at the Yorkshire Wrap Co. They’ve transformed the humble pud into a deliciously filling roast dinner wrap. Load yours with slow cooked beef, red cabbage and horseradish or roast pork, stuffing and apple sauce, before it’s finished with lashings of gravy and wrapped up in a freshly made Yorkshire."
"Situated in Micklegate, York, Partisan is a family-run restaurant. This eatery creates a special menu every week to cater to vegan and vegetarian visitors and locals in town. The remarkable thing about Partisan is that it runs an arable farm on the city’s outskirts, where staff grows the herbs and vegetables used in making the restaurant’s tasty dishes."
"Very popular with the locals which is always a good sign and new entry in the Good Food Guide 2019. Open for evening meals on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and also great for breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas and excellent choice for vegetarians and vegans.www.partisanuk.com/"
"09/05/2021: Had breakfast here a couple of times while staying in York. Absolutely fantastic food and great service. Best gluten free bread I have had and the cakes also great."
"Dean’s Park offers fantastic views, a great place to stretch out and enjoy a break during a busy day, as well as soft drink and ice cream refreshments available during summer. You may also want to view nearby York Minster. There is an admission charge for entering this cathedral but it doesn’t cost anything to take in the magnificent exterior!"
"Located on the North side of the Minster, Dean’s Park is a quiet, green oasis offering incredible views of the Gothic Cathedral and the Minster Library. Some ruins of a 12th-century cloister – probably from the Old Palace – are still standing. While it originally was accessible only to members of the church, today it’s open to the public."
"A beautiful place to soak in the sun and enjoy an ice cream cone, Dean’s Park offers beautiful views and plenty of green, open space. Spread out a blanket and enjoy stunning views of the Minster and its Chapter House."
