"Yet another establishment found within Micklegate, Partisan is a trendy and independent coffee shop, which transforms into a restaurant in the evening. The menu’s diverse, and changes every week – as a result, it’s difficult to make a solid recommendation on which dish to choose, however, the principles at Partisan are clear – they value seasonality, allow the ingredients to do the talking and provide a relaxed, indulgent experience for diners. "14/02/2021: 1hr and 40 minutes later the food arrived and had to warm it up in the microwave plus x1 curry sauce and X2 chips where missing from the order.Tried blaming me but I knew exactly what I had ordered because I had it written down in front of me!. Very unhelpful and said they could send the missing food out but it would be in 1 hours time.....what a joke!. Very disappointed customer."

"There are so many play spaces for kids scattered throughout. My two loved the Dinosaur area where they put on these cute little dinosaur backpacks which had a few bits in like magnifying glasses. They loved hunting for fossils in the fake soil, dressing up as knights, walking on the original medieval mosaic floor and playing with the wooden knight’s castle."

"Newcomer Barleys is causing a storm down Newland Avenue – and for good reason!. Barleys is 100% vegan and offers a great range of deli style products as well as a range of fantastic sandwiches – my personal favourite is the chicken caesar wrap. Barleys has only been open for a couple of weeks now and I’ve visited more times than I care to admit."
