"Melton’s is perfect for any special occasion or a romantic date night with the other half. Melton’s menu offers an immaculate collection of tasty local and international dishes using only fresh regional produce, all perfected presented. Mix that with the friendly, warm service and it’s easy to see why this charming restaurant has remained a local favourite over the years."
"This large 4-bedroomed property in the Upper Village can cater for up to 8 people. There are two luxury bathrooms, two lounges, space to park 2 cars as well as a private garden. It is fully centrally heated with fuel provided, as are the linen and towels."
"One of the perfect spots with a warm and precious atmosphere. The food is excellent as well as paired perfectly with lovely wines. Address : 7 Scarcroft Rd, York YO23 1ND, UK"
"You may have heard of The Ivy restaurant in London; the one in York is very similar and offers luxury food in an opulent setting. Located right next to Betty’s in St. Helen’s Square, The Ivy has become the trendy new place to eat in York. While it’s certainly not the most affordable place to eat in York, you will find a vast range of incredible dishes here, including yummy starters and rich, chocolatey desserts!"
"The Ivy York do a Saturday and Sunday Brunch (and bank holidays). The restaurant itself is a beautiful art deco inspired space. With options like Truffle Arancini, Zucchini fritti, Eggs Benedict and Avocado Benedict, as well as Hot Buttermilk Pancakes for those (like me) with a sweet tooth!"
"The iconic Ivy is located within the bustling St Helen’s Square. Expect all the style and glamour of the original Ivy London, as they serve a delicious selection of savoury and sweet treats 7 days a week. Champagne is obligatory in such a stunning location of course."
"From their website: ‘Our exciting, inventive and varied menus have been especially created by our experienced staff, and are La Vecchia Scuola’s distinguishing – and distinguished – culinary feature. We believe in serving only the very best in contemporary Italian cooking.’"
"05/06/2021: The restaurant is one of two we tend to visit whenever we come to York. The building and surroundings are stunning and this is a big draw. On this occasion we were put in a side room with three other tables."
"Relax, eat and drink in the stylish, contemporary interior that is Brew and Brownie. Located opposite the Museum Gardens, this coffee shop in York is a very popular destination for coffee and brunch alike. So popular, in fact, that they have opened a second premises just a few doors down – B&B Bakeshop."
"Cafe serving both breakfast and brunch with a variety of coffee, loose leaf teas and cakes. Chocolate survival boxes, coffee and Afternoon teas available for collection and delivery. Bakeshop open Monday-Sunday 9-4 and Cafe open Monday-Sunday 9:30-4."
"My final recommendation for the best cafes and coffee shops in York is Gatehouse Coffee – another quirky little café set up in an old Gatehouse atop the city walls. It’s fairly small, but there’s lots of areas to choose to sit, including up a narrow stairwell or on the rooftop terrace to enjoy the views. Staff are really friendly and it’s a great place to start the day – nice and relaxed with seriously yummy coffee."
"I really liked this place as it seemed to have a real local feel about it. The staff and owners had a good rapport with lots of the locals who came in for takeaway coffees and pastries and there was a welcoming, happy, laid back atmosphere. Italian inspired (some of the staff are Italian and it almost seemed to be a meeting point for York’s Italian community!) this little gem of a place is open from breakfast until evening and serves simple, tasty, food."
"Fancy Hanks is a new and welcome addition to York serving American deep South good mood food. They serve classics such as a Double Cheese Burger, Blackened Cajun Chicken as well as a Vegan Corn Burger. They also do some excellent buttermilk fried chicken!"
"Reflecting Hull’s street art scene, Dope Burgeroffers well-priced (and very large) burgers. Munch your way through their food and leave with a full but very happy belly. Famed for their unicorn bagels, a truly American treat, no size is too large for Dope Burger as they serve up legendary Rainbow Burgers and Rainbow Cheesecakes that have to be seen to be believed!"
"Dope Burger in Witham is well known across the city and is rated at 4.5 of 123 reviews on Tripadvisor. In September last year it was also reviewed by Food Review Club, which was founded in 2018 sets out "to hunt down those under the radar hidden gems around the UK". It has more than 17,000 YouTube subscribers and more than 200,000 followers on Facebook."
"17/04/2021: I was really looking forward to this an ignored the latest reviews. A wanted this to be immense but what I got was a cold overdone smoked dry burger and soggy fries. Chicken burger was also bland."
"The Museum Gardens are potentially my favourite place in the whole of York. Regardless of the time of year, the Museum Gardens always look in pristine condition and there are ample places for you to get a good pic for the ‘gram. From St. Mary’s Abbey that provides an idyllic historic backdrop, to the plethora of trees, plants and flowers that are scattered all over the gardens, as well as the Yorkshire Museum, the Museum Gardens are an incredible place for taking pictures."
"In the grounds of the peaceful Museum Gardens, you can see the Multangular Tower, a part of the City Walls that was once the western tower of the Roman garrison's defensive ramparts. The Roman stonework at the..."
