That’s what you’ll find in Angelica. Mixing modern day architecture and a pewter bar with a bright and airy design they act as one of the best cocktail destinations in Leeds."

"With successful nights in Manchester and Nottingham, Group Therapy has made quite a mark since October 2016. They’ve quickly become one of the best places to watch comedy in Leeds. You can see them in their home at Headrow House, where they put on stellar performances from the likes of Brendon Burns, Tony Law, Simon Munnery, John Kearns, Andrew O’Neill and Fern Brady already – and there are plenty more to come."
"The interior of this popular hipster bar is definitely photogenic, but it’s the roof terrace that is the focus of most Instagram shots. On warm, dry days it’s the perfect place to sit with a drink, admiring the views of the city from above – and when night falls the neon red ‘You Used to Call Me on Your Cell Phone’ sign is the subject of most phone camera lenses."

"Overlooking the River Aire at Granary Wharf, Water Lane Boathouse is one of the best alfresco dining spots in Leeds. It’s great when the sun’s shining, but don’t worry, they have heaters and covered seating too. Their menu takes a two-pronged approach – Neapolitan-style sourdough pizza, made in a hand-crafted Italian oven, and juicy burgers, stacked high with everything from Yorkshire beef to Magic Mountains vegan patties."
"If you're looking to escape the chaos of the city centre, head to Water Lane Boathouse, the gorgeous pub that's located on the banks of Leeds' Canal Wharf. Watch narrowboats float by as you tuck into a selection of hearty burgers and stone-baked pizzas."

"From grain to glass, see how traditional ale is created at York Brewery. Located just inside the city walls on Toft Green, York Brewery has been handcrafting real ales since 1996. The brewery site was built in the late 16th century, and has seen many uses over its history, but now it is home to a 20-barrel brew plant, with six traditional open top fermenters and five conditioning tanks."
"Brew York, a renowned independent business brewing its own fantastic variety of booze is a favourite amongst beer fans. Their riverside beer garden in York is a hidden gem tucked behind the Enterprise Complex on Walmgate through the metal gates. Enjoy their own creations with everything from chocolate stout to sour lingonberry beer."

"The Mexican Pilgrim offers up an array of authentic Central American street food. The star of the show is their burritos – they fill freshly cooked tortillas with your choice of red wine pork, spiced chicken or avocado, as well as loads of veggies and toppings. "A finalist in the last series of Channel 4's Ramsay's Best Restaurant, this vegetarian Indian is a venue on the up. Whilst sat in the smart lounge (opposite the main restaurant on Woodhead Road) waiting for your takeaway, you can peruse multiple framed newspaper cuttings extolling Prashad's virtues or watch looped footage of Gordon Ramsay putting Kaushy Patel and her kitchen team through their paces. Despite this recent boost to the restaurant's profile, prices remain keen."
"A post shared by Prashad Indian Veggie Cuisine (@prashad_veggie) on Mar 12, 2019 at 7:00am PDT. Those with a love for authentic, flavoursome Indian food won’t want to miss a visit to Prashad – without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Bradford. Prashad was a worthy finalist in Ramsay’s Best Restaurant on Channel 4, but we’re pleased to see it hasn’t changed its budget-friendly prices!"
"A 15-minute walk from the train station, in a former industrial zone where the warehouses are being repurposed as offices and studio spaces, this site is home to the Northern Monk Brewery Co and, on the first floor, a ruggedly handsome tap room. Naturally, Northern Monk’s beers feature prominently (long on flavour, the zesty, citrussy Eternal Session IPA was in great form) but some 20 lines include plenty of space for potent (in all senses of the word) guest beers, most of them also served in thirds. On this visit these included Kernel’s Export Stout, Cromarty Brewing’s fantastic AKA IPA and Magic Rock’s famous, if not notorious, Human Cannonball – dangerously drinkable at 9.2%."
"The Old Flax Store, Marshalls Mill, Holbeck, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS11 9YJ. Located on the first floor of the Old Flax Store, this brewery-based refectory hosts regular takeovers from local food vendors, though the focus on the varied styles of beer the ‘monks’ brew."
